Monday, September 4, 2023 | Class of 2018 Journalist Fabian Martinez (History '18) was honored with third place for Best Feature Story in the 2021 National Native Media Awards from the Native American Journalist Association for his article detailing the history and repair of the La Boca bridge. Martinez researched the history of the steel railroad bridge in The Southern Ute Drum’s archive and talked with elders who lived during that era.

Thursday, July 20, 2023 | Class of 2018 Currently a Master's student at the University of Colorado in the Museum & Field Studies program, Chance Ward ('98) was a co-author on a research paper that was published in Science Journal magazine (the cover no less), and was able to speak about it on Native America Calling, a National radio show discussing topics in Indian Country.
