Now a Professor at FLC, she graduated from FLC in 2006 with degrees in Chemistry and Molecular Biology. Joslynn's commitment and passion for fostering a more inclusive and healing campus environment have profoundly impacted the College and its community. In summary, Joslynn's reconciliation work and dedication to student mentorship, engagement, and fostering an inclusive environment make her an outstanding candidate for the Service to FLC Award. Her efforts have significantly impacted the Fort Lewis College community, creating a more inclusive, healing, and supportive environment for all students.

After graduating from FLC in 1999 with a degree in Chemistry, Javier distinguished himself in his Ph.D. research at Colorado State University and at a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. In 2009, he joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), quickly rising to become a Full Professor in 2018. During his tenure at UCSB, Javier has been awarded many honors and grants, including several Young Investigator Awards and a prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER award given only to the best and the brightest. Javier was recently given a 2023 Cope Scholar Award by the American Chemical Society (the world’s largest scientific society) – an honor coveted by all synthetic chemists.

A long-time Station Manager at KDUR and a 1998 grad in English Communications, Liggett has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to fostering and maintaining relationships with FLC alumni. His unwavering commitment to engaging with alumni as DJs, donors, community partners, and listeners sets him apart as a remarkable role model for our entire institution. He’s also collaborated with various organizations in College and town. KDUR provides an outlet for outreach by training community members to produce public affairs radio programs and giving them airtime to promote their services and inform the public.

Graduating from FLC in 2013 with a degree in Athletic Training, Jordan is a Diné journalist with significant career accomplishments, serving as a guiding force for a multimedia news organization that focuses on Indigenous topics, paired with a commitment to service and elevating Indigenous voices through the power of storytelling and advocacy. She co-founded an arts and culture event to help Native youth learn to use art and media to preserve their culture, represent their identities, and build pride in being Indigenous. In addition to being the first female editor-in-chief of ICT, formerly Indian Country Today, her media credits are vast and include covering presidential candidates and the Biden Inauguration.

A 1970 graduate of the History department, Guy went on for a term with the Peace Corps. He then worked for several non-profit organizations, a public vocational school, and in job development and job training programs. He led a career of public service working for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, serving on several boards and committees, city council several times, and had a stint as the Mayor of Delta.
