This year, we are thrilled to welcome back FLC alumnus Joshua Emerson ’20 as our guest speaker!

Joshua Emerson is a Navajo comedian, writer, and actor based in Denver, Colorado. A rising voice in Indigenous comedy, he brings sharp wit and fresh perspectives to the stage. He is best known for his comedy showcase, Bad Indian, which explores the complexities of Indigenous identity and was selected for Netflix Is a Joke Fest and SF Sketchfest.

Beyond comedy, Joshua is deeply involved in advocacy and community work. He serves on the Denver American Indian Commission and was part of the negotiating committee for Casa Bonita United. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, he spent his summers and winters on the Navajo Nation in Vanderwagen, NM. During his time at FLC, he earned a degree in Economics and was an active member of American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) and Student Senate.

We can’t wait to have him share his story and talent with us!
